======The Haven======

The Haven is the closest place you have to a home. The centre of the Haven is a large, expansive cavern, ceiling laden with stalactites. The ceiling glitters with bright, iridescent light, emitted from algae in the cave roof and scattered through multi-coloured crystal deposits. Towards the back is an entrance to a grotto filled with a large pile of rubble, the victim of time and erosion, smothering [[setting:beneath_the_rubble|what lies beneath]].

On one side lies a small chamber, leading out into [[setting:outside|darkness beyond]]. Outside, it is cold and unwelcoming. Strange noises can be heard from the mouth of the cave; the rustle of wind, the chirping and skittering of creatures, noises of the inhabitants of this world that are alien to you, the newcomer.

There are people in the Haven [[setting:people|just like you]]. Each one is looking around and taking the world in for the very first time. This is your new home. What will you make of it?
